According to market reports, the Bud Light boycott slashes sales by 17 percent since the company attempted to boost sales by advertising with Dylan Mulvaney, a male who pretends to be a woman.
The decline in sales implies that Anheuser-Busch, the Belgian brewer, sells five bottles of beer for every six bottles before advertising with the self-proclaimed “transgender” male who poses as a cheerful young girl.
Moreover, this has led to some key members of the Bud Light team being placed on a “leave of absence” from all of the fire this ad catastrophe has caused.
Bud Light’s boycott slashes sales and has no signs of slowing down.
“According to the most recent sales statistics from NielsenIQ and Bump Williams Consulting, Bud Light sales declined 17% in dollars, while volume fell a stunning 21% in the week ended April 15,” the New York Post reported on April 24.
“These numbers are staggering,” according to an April 23 report from Insights Express, a beer-focused newsletter. “Right now this is an extremely difficult scenario for Anheuser Busch, the Bud Light brand and for AB distributors.”
As I previously stated, business management has disciplined two executives for approving the Mulvaney advertisement.
