With “flu season” around the corner, here are 4 ways to boost immunity to keep your system bulletproof from sickness and propaganda.
Fall is here!
This time of year brings cooler temps and the best colors from Mother Nature, that is if you live up north. Here are 4 ways to turbo-boost immunity.
Technically, the “immune system” is the lymphatic system. I wrote about this a few months ago.
Moreover, whatever happened to the flu? It seems to me during the past two years it has been C-19 all day.
Is flu on furlough? Just wondering š¤.
4 ways to turbo-boost immunity.
One of the most effective ways to help your immune system perform better is by drinking iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts every day throughout the “flu season.”
I am teasing, do not take heed of this said Dunkin Donuts iced coffee advice.
Instead, sit down, relax and digest what I am about to write about boosting immune function during the dark months.
Furthermore, this stuff you may have seen a bunch of times; however, it is still good to take a refresher once in a while.
A) Exercise
Before you scream at me about how many times this topic has been covered throughout mankind and the World Wide Web, this study has been proven and substantiated.
The crazy thing about this is not too many exercise or practice what they preach.
There is much evidence to suggest that exercise can help boost immunity. For example, one study found that people who exercised regularly were less likely to get colds than those who didnāt exercise.
Additionally, another study found that people who started exercising after being diagnosed with cancer had a lower risk of their cancer coming back or spreading.
So, how does exercise boost immunity?
One of the ways is by increasing the circulation of immune cells in the body. When you exercise, your body releases endorphins, which have been shown to increase the number of lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) in the blood.
Lymphocytes are vital players in the immune system, and their increased circulation can help fight off infection.
Additionally, exercise has also been shown to increase the production of other types of white blood cells, such as macrophages and natural killer cells.
These cells are essential for identifying and destroying infected or cancerous cells. Finally, exercise has been shown to improve the function of immune cells.
For example, one study found that people who exercised had an increase in the number of antibody-producing cells compared to the vaccinated.
This suggests that exercise can help make our immune response more effective.
Exercise does more than just increase your immunity, trust me on this one.
Sleeping can help turbo-boost immunity.
How many of you out there love a good night’s rest? I know a high percentage of you will say yes to that. When there is no rest, we are all put to the test. Literally!
From personal experience, whenever I am sleep deprived, my thoughts and words are incongruent. In other words, I am sloppy.
There are a few important ways that getting enough rest can help to boost your immunity, including:
1. Rest helps to reduce stress levels.
2. Getting enough sleep helps to improve the function of your immune system.
3. When you’re well-rested, your body is better able to fight off infections.
4. Lack of sleep can make you more susceptible to illness.
5. Getting enough rest can help you recover from illness more quickly.
6. Resting is important for overall good health and well-being.
7. It is also important to note that if you are already sick, resting can help you to recover more quickly and can also help to prevent your illness from becoming worse.
8. Finally, if you are struggling to get enough rest, there are a few things you can do to improve your sleep habits, such as: avoiding caffeine and alcohol before bed, establishing a regular sleep schedule, and creating a calm and comfortable environment.
Easier said than done, but this is what the doctor ordered, STAT!
Do your best to alleviate stress.
This will be another “easier said than done.” I just wrote about a way to do this organically and that is with exercise.
I will not delve into this topic too much due to the sheer fact that we are all witnessing besetting times right in front of us.
Moreover, stress is more omnipresent than ever due to inflation, job loss, deaths, or the markets. Just when you thought it was safe.
There are several ways that you can lower stress in your life. One way is to make sure that you get enough sleep each night. Sleep allows your body to rejuvenate and heal itself, and it also gives your mind a chance to rest and relax.
If you find that you are not getting enough sleep, try setting aside some time each night to relax and unwind before going to bed.
You can also try relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or meditation to help you relax and manage stress. If you find that your stress levels are consistently high, you may want to seek out professional help.
A therapist can teach you how to better cope with stressors in your life and can provide support and guidance during difficult times.
One of the most clutch stress relievers is music to me, hands down. This is part of my 4 ways to turbo-boost immunity, and it has worked for me like hooked on phonics.
Nutrition.
I can hear it now, “oh man I have seen this numerous times!” Well, I have news for you all so sit back and chillax.
There are many ways that nutrition can help to boost immunity, including eating a balanced diet, getting enough vitamins and minerals, and avoiding processed foods.
Eating a diet that is rich in fruits and vegetables is one of the best ways to get the nutrients that your body needs to function properly.
Fruits and vegetables are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, which can help to protect your cells from damage and keep your lymphatic system strong.
Getting enough vitamins and minerals is also essential for a strong immune system. Vitamins C and E are particularly important for immunity, so make sure to include plenty of citrus fruits, tomatoes, broccoli, and other vitamin-rich foods in your diet.
Avoiding processed foods is also important for boosting immunity. Processed foods are often high in sugar and unhealthy fats, which can weaken the lymphatic system.
Choose whole, unprocessed foods, and include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. By following these simple tips, you can help to keep your lymphatic system strong and reduce your risk of getting sick.
Learn to find the balance that caters to your DNA and dietary habits and incorporate the 4 ways to turbo-boost immunity.
Final thoughts.
This information is as basic as it comes. Often times we tend to forget what we preach to others.
Why is that?
The human mind always surprises me, for we do things to help others but not ourselves. Make it make sense š©.
Learn what makes you tick and use that to your advantage to remain on top of your game emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
For instance, I have a lot of pent up anger so I exercise and listen to music to help release the energy before it burns me up.
Outlets such as hobbies, alone time, and social gatherings are therapeutic, yes, even for the introverts out there.
Sty blessed out there, everyone.
